FANELLI, FRANK J. - Frank J. Fanelli, Jr., a longtime resident of Port Chester died November 18, 2001. He was 79 and born March 6, 1922 in White Plains to the late Frank and Grace Montilone Fanelli. He was raised and educated in White Plains. During World War II Mr. Fanelli served with the Civilian Engineering Corps known as the Sea-Bees as a builder in the Aleutians Islands in the Pacific. He was married on July 14, 1946 to Rose Cicoria at Corpus Christi Church in Port Chester. Mr. Fanelli was a house painter and was also an employee of Gannett in White Plains in the maintenance department retiring in 1976. He was a parishioner of Corpus Christi Church in Port Chester. He is survived by his wife, Rose Fanelli of Port Chester, sons, Michael Fanelli of Port Chester and Frank Fanelli of Westport, CT, brothers, Dominick and Anthony Fanelli, both of White Plains, sisters, Elizabeth Scarlatella and Rose Armiento, both of White Plains and Theresa DeMarzo of Elmsford, Mary Caruba and Stella Torres, both of West Harrison and Grace Battaglia of Oak Ridge, NJ, grandchildren, Andrew, Daniel and Francesca Fanelli. He was predeceased by his brothers, Joseph and Vincent Fanelli. Visitation will be at Craft Memorial Home, Inc. today, Monday, November 19, 2001 from 5-9 pm. Funeral mass will be on Tuesday, November 20, 2001 9:30 am at Corpus Christi Church, 136 South Regent St., Port Chester, NY. Interment to follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery, White Plains, NY. At the request of the family, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be to the United Hospital Medical Center or the American Heart Association.
