ABREU, FERNANDO - Fernando Abreu of Yonkers, died on Wednesday, May 30, 2001 at age 51. Born on December 18, 1949 to Joaquim and Zulmira Abreu in Portugal where he was raised and educated. He has been a Yonkers resident for the last 11 years. Mr. Abreu worked as a maintenance man for Kensico Cemetery in Valhalla, NY, for the last four years. Prior to that he was a mechanic for Liberty Lines for five years. Fernando is survived by his sister Lourdes Barros and her husband Adeliano of Yonkers. He is also survived by his two nephews Marco and Richard Barros. Visiting hours will be at the Whalen & Ball Funeral Home on Monday evening 7-9 pm and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm.
