MARTO, SANDRA J. - Sandra J. Marto, 64, of Wilton, Connecticut, died suddenly on Sunday, December 10, 2006 at her residence. She was the wife of Robert T. Marto. Mrs. Marto was born and raised in Eastchester, New York, a daughter of Florence (McGill) McGinness of Eastchester and the late Harry D. McGinness. She was educated at Immaculate Heart of Mary School in Scarsdale and Our Lady of Good Council Academy in White Plains. In 1972, she was married to Robert of Yorktown, New York, and made their home Mahopac, New York, but soon moved to Novato, California, where their sons, Evan and Brandon were born. Later they moved to Sebastopol, California, and then to Wilton, Connecticut, where they have resided for the past twenty-one years. Sandra was a homemaker and her family was her first priority. She was a very talented decorator, a lover of books and music, a world traveler and a kind, loving and dedicated friend to many. For the past several years, she enjoyed doing volunteer work at Norwalk Hospital. In addition to her husband of thirty-four years and her mother, Sandra is survived by her loving sons, Evan B. Marto of Ridgfield, Connecticut and Brandon G. Marto and his wife Amy of Cocoa, Florida; one sister, Holly Keenan of Fishkill, New York;two brothers, Dennis McGinness and his wife Cheryl of Scarsdale New York, and Peter McGinness of LaGrangeville, New York; her beloved grandson, Jackson Marto of Cocoa, Florida; her sisters-in-law, Sally Ingels of Chester, New York, and Carole Marto of Ventura, California; her brother-in-law, Martin Marto and his wife Cathy of Wappingers, New York; and her dear friend, Carmine De Ruggierro. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews and a large extended family. Sandra was also predeceased by her brother, Harry J. McGinness. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, December 15, 2006 at 10:30 A.M. in Our Lady of Fatima Church, 229 Danbury Road, (Route 7), Wilton, Connecticut. The Reverend Michael C. Palmer, Pastor, will officiate. The interment will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Wilton, Connecticut.
