BURKE, THOMAS J. - Thomas J. Burke, of Armonk on July 12, 2006. Born on August 30, 1946 to the late Catherine Golden and Thomas J. Burke and stepson of Arthur G. Stroub. Devoted husband to Patricia Burke (Nee McCarthy) for 30 years. Loving father of Terence, Mary Kate, Brendan and Meaghan. Beloved brother of Catherine Weale (Harold), Margaret Mullery (Stephen), Mary McQueen (George), brother-in-law of Kathleen, Virginia, Ann and James McCarthy (Kathleen), Jane Conroy (Thomas). Beloved nephew of Joseph and Diane Golden. Survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews and grand nieces and grand nephews. Raised in the Parkchester section of the Bronx, graduated St. Raymond's Grammar School, 1960, All Hallows Institute, class of 1964, Iona College, 1968 and a member of the Iona Gaels men's basketball team from 1964 to 1968. He was elected to the All Hallows and Iona College Halls of Fame. He was the Iona Alumni Association President 1980 to 1985. He was a member of the Iona Legal Board of Trustees. Parishioner of St. Patrick's Church, Armonk. Coached Armonk youth soccer, and baseball and St. Theresa's Briarcliff CYO, Basketball, 1990 to 1999. He worked as an Insurance and financial planner for over 35 years. He was a devoted husband, father, brother, uncle and friend who made each and every person he met feel special. His generosity of spirit, magnetic personality and wonderful sense of humor touched all who knew him.
