BLANCATO, NANCY BENEDICT - BLANCATO, NANCY BENEDICTNancy Benedict Blancato, 80, died January 12, 2005 at the Osborn Pavillion after a long illness. She was born on July 16, 1924 in White Plains. She was a lifelong resident of Westchester County. She received her RN from Grasslands School of Nursing and later a B.A. at the College of New Rochelle. Among many affiliations, she was a member of the American Association of University Women and on the Board of Overseers at Sturbridge Village in Massachusetts. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Dr. Louis S. Blancato of Rye, NY, four children: Louis, Jr. of Bar Harbor, ME, Robert of Arlington, VA, John of Canton, ME and Amy of Alfred, ME and two grandchildren Celia and Carly. A Memorial service will be held at 1:30 pm on Saturday, January 15th at Fred. H. McGrath & Son Funeral Home at 20 Cedar Street in Bronxville. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to Hospice and Palliative Care of Westchester, 95 South Broadway, White Plains, NY 10601.
