John Connors, 57, of White Plains, NY, died on August 4, 2008 at White Plains Hospital after a long battle with kidney cancer. John was born May 17, 1951 to the late John and Mary Nevins Connors in Bronx, NY. He was a graduate of Cardinal Spellman High School in the Bronx, attended Georgetown University, where he was a member of the Varsity Basketball team, and Manhattan College, from which he graduated and was co-captain of the 1973-74 Varsity Basketball team. John received Master's Degrees in Business from Iona College. John is survived by his loving wife Peggy, whom he married on Nov. 29, 1975, and daughters Ann and Chrissie. He is also survived by his sisters, Kathleen and Barbara, and several aunts, uncles and cousins. Reposing at Beecher Funeral Home, Pleasantville, NY Wednesday, Aug. 6, from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday, Aug. 7, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, Aug. 8, at 10 a.m. at the Church of the Magdalene in Pocantico Hills, NY. Interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Valhalla, NY.
