WALSH, RICHARD S.

Richard S. Walsh, an Orangeburg resident, died peacefully on Monday, December 1, 2003 at the Rosary Hill Home after a stoic battle with cancer. He was born on June 6, 1942 to Stanley and Loretta Walsh in the Bronx. His family later moved to Blauvelt, and Richard graduated from Clarkstown High School. He attended the University of Charleston in West Virginia where he was an active member of Alpha Sigma Phi fraternity. He is survived by his two brothers Gerry Walsh and his wife, Bonnie of West Nyack, and Thomas Walsh and his wife Diane of Enfield, CT., loving uncle, Charles Kupatt of Little Ferry, NJ, and several nephews , nieces and cousins. Although ill for most of his adult life, Richard was always friendly and considerate of others. He will be greatly missed by all. A Memorial Mass will be held at 10 am, Saturday December 27, 2003 at St. Catherine's Church, Western Highway, Blauvelt. Interment of ashes will follow at the family plot in St. Catherine's Cemetery, Van Wyck Road, Blauvelt.
