The Children's Village is a nationally recognized charity founded in 1851 to serve immigrant children roaming the streets of Manhattan. Today, the organization serves more than 1,000 children in residential programs and approximately 8,000 children and families in community-based services. The organization operates a number of programs in Westchester County including a runaway and homeless shelter, a transitional living program, a drop-in center for out-of-school youth, independent living services for all foster care children in the county, and in-home programs for families including the Multi-Systemic Therapy (MST) Program.
