The bride-to-be graduated from Nyack High School and received a B.S. in symbolic systems from Stanford University in Palo Alto, Calif. She is an applications software developer at HighWire Press, a division of Stanford University Libraries.

The prospective bridegroom graduated from Pope John XXIII Central High School in Everett, Mass., and received a B.S. in management from Boston College. He is a major account manager at Actuate Corporation in South San Francisco.

Both music lovers, Joanna and Eric met when they joined the San Francisco Harmony, a community a cappella group.
