    CURBELO-DEPALMA

Ileana and John Curbelo of Valley Cottage, N.Y., are delighted to announce the engagement of their daughter Samantha Curbelo, to Joseph DePalma Jr., the son of Cynthia and Joseph DePalma, also of Valley Cottage.

Sam and Joe met in high school and have been dating for seven years. Sam received her bachelor's degree in fashion merchandising from the Fashion Institute of Technology and is currently working as an assistant buyer for the Dress Barn organization. Joe received his bachelor's degree in graphic arts from Baruch College and is currently working as production assistant for the Coining of America engineering firm. Joe is also a volunteer firefighter with the Valley Cottage Fire Engine Company #1.

Joe proposed to Sam on March 15, 2009. The couple will celebrate with an engagement party in June of this year and have their wedding planned for May of 2011.
