Why are you running for office or seeking re-election?
I decided to run for Clarkstown School Board because I care about the stability of the students. Professionally, as an Educator, decisions I make impact students on a daily basis and I want to apply my professional experience to the Clarkstown School District. I will be able to provide a perspective as s board member that “bridges the gap” between business and education. I will be sure to put forth the facts of how a student will be impacted by a decision. I also feel there is a need for a long term plan for the district which should include finances, education, and facilities as the core components.

What in your personal, civic or professional experience recommends your election or return to office?
Professionally, I am the Director of Educational Technology at a school in New Jersey. My position involves long term planning, operational management, and financial budget management. I have been involved in numerous strategic plans in schools. I also was a member of the St. Augustine School Development Board for many years before it was closed.

What would be your top three priorities if you are elected or re-elected?
My top three priorities are:

1. Ensure the stability of all students throughout the district at all times.
2. Focus on resolving the financial issues with a long term plan that will lead to financial solvency.
3. Develop a long term district-wide strategic plan that includes finances, education, and facilities to limit the burden on the taxpayers.
